Meta information
So what is meta information? Sometimes called meta data or meta tags. Meta data is data that describes content. It is not usually visible on the page but sits behind the page, in the code, and helps to explain to search engines the underlying basic information about what it is about.
To optimise your website you will need to input meta data which supports the content on the page. This could increase the relevancy of the page in search engine results.
Meta data is used for images, video, page titles and descriptions, blogs and blog categories. If your website is eCommerce, recruitment or estate agency then you would also have to optimise the meta data of products, product categories, properties, property categories, and jobs or job categories.
